NOTE FROM EDITOR
Two and a half years ago, the vision of a publication where you could escape, unwind and broaden seemed like just that... A vision. As the Internet has become one of the primary ways to communicate, with social networks such as Twitter and
Facebook, the best way to achieve that was an online magazine. With blogs becoming ever popular and its readers growing daily, we intend to offer those who visit our page a way to cover all bases from fashion, reviews and news.
Many of the magazines that we as readers have enjoyed over the years have begun to close shop due to a failing economy, thus raising questions as to what will make Imperial-Mag different. Initially, we also had reasons to be optimistic. As the idea in itself juggled for several months, we wanted to ensure that we brought to you, the reader; a trend that would ultimately last. You can be confident that every time you go to your browser, we will work to bring you the very best, consistently aligned with our peers.
It's hard to assume the position of a successful editorial, however, one thing is for certain; we guarantee to bring you everything and more. With this, our first edition, our goal is to become an important part of popular culture, addressing a standard of lifestyle. This promises to be more than just a daily read-this will be an experience. I encourage all of our readers to be inspired by the many stories and experiences that we will address. Just as 2009 has given us the lost of many icons, the achievement of our first African American president and many moments that we will talk about for years to come, I hope for this to become a historic moment for us as well.
In the words of Malcolm X, "The future belongs to those who prepare for it today." I want to thank each of you for participating in a movement. Be entertained, be influenced, but most importantly, be empowered. This promises to be the real thing.
Best,
Kirby Sutton
